CATERING & EVENTS SALES MANAGER

Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, the Catering & Events Sales Manager is responsible for the day-to-day sales and operations of the call center. Through effective leadership, the manager will strive to achieve company sales and key performance indicator objectives.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee team members and ensure they are achieving prospecting, sales, and guest service goals
  • Drive marketing initiatives with team and ensure guests are up to date on promotions, specials, and new products
  • Assist Sales & Marketing Manager with catering & fundraising email campaigns
  • Assist with interviews, hiring, and onboarding new team members
  • Preform periodic and annual reviews for each team member
  • Provide feedback to coordinators on a daily basis to ensure they are improving
  • Meet weekly with the Sales & Marketing Manager
  • Meet periodically with VP of Buona Companies
  • Fill out weekly reports on all inside sales activity
  • Submit timecards and commission for all catering coordinators.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Catering & Events Sales

- Achieve Inside Catering Sales targets

  • Corporate Sales
  • Social Sales
  • Event Sales
  • Review Catering, Fundraising, and Event Sales budgets and results with the team on a weekly basis
  • Create sales initiatives and competitions for the catering call center
  • Assist Catering Coordinators with large orders, maximizing sales through upselling, important details, and guest requests

- Achieve Catering key performance indicators

  • Coordinator Budgets
  • Average Order
  • # of orders

- Direct sales & business development: Creates a targeted plan for increasing sales volume within.

  • Focuses on revenue-producing activity: strategic planning, cold calling, sales presentations / meetings, and effective closing sales techniques.
  • Active involvement in networking events.
  • Maintain relationships with existing clients through follow up visits, and presence at key events.

- Local Store Catering Sales Plan

  • Implement and drive a LSM plan to all restaurant locations.
  • Assist Sales & Marketing Manager with new store openings from a Catering and Fundraising perspective.

- Take care of ongoing Monkey Media (catering software) maintenance.

  • Import new menus, items, prices, etc.

Fundraising

- Achieve budget sales targets

  • School lunch sales
  • Benefit night sales

- Oversee fundraising coordinator(s) productivity: prospecting targets, sales, guest feedback
- Review donation requests

Guest Service Relations

  • Lead by example and ensure 100% guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure the Guest Service Department is handling complaints in accordance with company standards.
  • Drive all team members to maintain and deliver the highest level of guest service through effective communication with the sales and operations team
  • Build new and maintain relationships by following through on all requests, following up on experience, and relaying information to the team for immediate improvement
  • Respond to all incoming email/phone feedback from guests and take appropriate action to thank and/or retain guest(s)
  • Oversee the internal ticketing system from a Catering & Guest Experience perspective o) Catering call center issues o) Catering order issues o) MyBuona issues o) Overall guest issues
  • Coach team members through issues

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year
